Stephen and Taryn met when they were 12 as they grew up in the same town together. They started dating when they were 23. They did long distance for basically their entire relationship (6 months together, 6 months apart) as Steve was playing professional baseball in the United States. People would look at their relationship and think they were crazy or nuts, and that the relationship would never work with the distance. The late night face times, texts, and endless car rides, were daily routine. However the long distance seemed to make their bond stronger and make them value the time that that they spent together. They got engaged February 17,2016 and tied the knot January 28,2017.
